Alixandra Matos is a Latin-American visual artist based in New York City. Her work is informed by her passion for deep and intimate relationships through the scope of a lens. A romantic in her own right she finds a vulnerability in the nature of picture-taking and wishes to find deep closeness in her subjects, herself included. Looking at her work she wants to express the same feelings of looking through the sliver of a door or seeing a well-lit living room window of a four-story walk up from the street.
